Welcome to my blog, this site will keep you up to date with all the athletes who are currently coached by me and also some random entertaining stuff that hopefully make you laugh.

As us antipodeans are now at the tail-end of our winter, training is getting a bit more serious and specific. The first of the real spring classics, Taupo to Napier, is only 5 weeks away(24 September) but the snow-plows where this week still hard at work, could get interesting! This year the season opener is getting a sting in its tail as the course will turn right over Glengarry Rd. and finishes outside Puketapu School. Plenty is happening on the local front with the Ramblers Cycling Club 2011 Winter Series coming to an end, with only next Saturday's race left, some of the grades still haven't got a clear leader. The AvantiPlus Hastings D grade is an exception, were Craig Hill has taken an unassailable lead by winning 4 of the last 5 races. In the last month Craig has shown his real potential by winning time-trials, hilly races and bunch sprints, he's fast becoming an all-rounder. Not bad from a rider who only last year graduated from an recumbent bike to a race bike. Being a C4 disabled rider hasn't stopped this Taradale juggernaut to mix it up every week, definitely another Team Coach rider to keep an eye on.

From tomorrow we'll be having Core training at my place starting at 5.30pm, these sessions last an hour and are cycling specific. If you serious about your cycling and want to be the best, you can't miss out on this. Cost for non Team Coach members $10.- per session.

That's all for now.

And good luck to Frazer Gough, who's racing tonight in the Junior Track Worlds madison with Alex Frame.
